FAC is not over when we emerged as the zone champion, tomorrow will be another time we test where we stand among the other corps.

Despite all the time, training grounds constraints and all unforeseen circumstances, our Ambulance and Nursing team had trained hard and put in their best effort into this competition.

No matter what the outcome is tomorrow, all the knowledge learned, experiences went through, bonds formed have made every one of you in the team a Winner.

Training Camp 2008

This year's training camp might feel the same for most.. 

You get up on this fine day.. You drag a big bag and your body (some might leave their souls behind) with you to spend 4 days 3 nights at a place where you are most familiar with your books and uniform.. There, you play, you march, you run, you get scolded, you follow, you lead.. At the end of it all, you will grow, in every sense..

But this year might feel different for some.. while others might not realize.. We know it, because we are not there.. though feeling sorry that we are not able to go through this whole process with the Corps, we are glad that the NCOs had successfully planned and held a camp.. it is not easy.. of course not to forget with the help of the teachers, seniors and graduates.. And we had a different experience too, a different kind of feeling, to be invited to join the rest for a small part of it all..

Congratulations to the Year 1s, who have managed to pull through their first training camp, and be promoted to PTE!

Congratulations to the Year 2s, who have grown and learnt to lead in front of everyone else!

Congratulations to the Year 3s, who now have a camp of their own to remember!

Congratulations to the Year 4s, who can now concentrate on doing well for their 'O' levels after putting in so much effort for the past year!

"tiring but memorable" - this still goes on for every camp of ZHSJ..

of course, not to forget the trainers, esp the graduates, who took time off to train the teams.

ALL of you deserve a big pat on your backs! (if not a slap will have more impact :P)

we're sure these 3 months of training and the experience through FAC will always remain with you.. it's really nice seeing all of you bond even closer, not only within the teams, but also among the years.. caring and motivating one another through the tough times, and enjoying like crazy during the happy times.. this has always been the most beautiful part of FAC.. and is also a significant part of the memories that we hope to leave with all of you in zhsj..

 

for now, work hard for your exams! and your efforts will definitely pay off too :)

we know it is not easy, but we hope all of you have learnt something during this period of time..

training has been tough, long, tormenting.. (HQ nursing room is full of our bookings :P)

The outing was a very successful one, despite a little hiccup at the end when the food was delivered late (which isn't the committee's fault) and so bbq was pretty rush..

The committee, headed by Rui Han, had done a brilliant job in the planning. 

To those who have burned their days and nights for the past month or so trying to put together the proposals, coordinating all the admin and preparatory work, and punching numbers on the phone to inform everyone, a big THANK YOU for the hard work! They've definitely paid off!

We're sure this outing had done a wonderful job in bonding the Corp and bringing the different Years closer together. And we hope this spirit and enthusiasm will continue in every one of you!

A big THANKS to our lovely year 2s for a wonderful night of Food and Fun! 

it has been great BBQing with them! along with the graduated year 4s, yimin and jackie..

Saw their effort into making the BBQ a successful one, despite the rain which got them all drenched, and we THANK YOU for putting so much time and money into the BBQ!

it was nice seeing this group of little ones working together.. :)

And soon, they will be year 3s and taking over the Corps. We'd really hope to see this spirit continue in every one of them, and they can take the Corps to even greater heights!

NCOC is finally coming to an end soon! Guess it's a big relief to many of you.. 

We've seen all of you grew from the first day of Course till now, the end of camp. And we hope you've learnt something out of it. 

For the Advance, this may be the last Course you'll be going for, so we hope you have enjoyed yourselves and that the Course has left wonderful memories with all of you..

For the Standard, this is just the beginning for you. Do continue to work hard and we'll see you again next year in Advance.

But, before all of you get too excited about getting over NCOC, do remember to study for your exam! Don't get the exam day wrong :P
